Beer of the Month for May: Harpoon Brewery






On Draft
Harpoon IPA ($4 drafts, $12 pitchers)
East coast IPA that is dry hopped with Cascade and finishes with a strong malt backbone  42 IBU, 5.9%
Rich and Dan’s Rye IPA ($4 drafts, $12 pitchers)
Centennial, Chinook and Falconer’s Flight hops are the stars in this citrus and fruity IPA with a distinct rye undertone 70 IBU, 6.9%
UFO White ($4 drafts, $12 pitchers)
This American white ale follows in the Belgian style of having orange and lots of spices on the palate.  Light and refreshing, a perfect summer beer  11 IBU, 4.8%

Their original pressed apple hard cider, clean and refreshing 4.8%
Honey Cider  $3.75
Natural honey added to Harpoon’s original hard cider 4.8%
Harpoon White IPA  $3.75
Orange peel and coriander mix with the hop flavors of an IPA in this relatively new style of beer - try one!  45 IBU, 6.2%
Leviathan Imperial IPA  $5.50
Tons of aroma from heavy dry hopping is well balanced with malt in this big, big beer  90 IBU, 10%

Hell Razor IPA ($4 drafts, $12 pitchers)
golden IPA gets in your face with dry finish with exotic tropical fruit flavors and aromas of New Zealand Motueka hops.  7.5%, 85 BU’s

EuForia ($4 drafts, $12 pitchers)
creamy, medium bodied, dark brown pint combines smooth drinkability with a jubilant swirl of caramel, almond, and toffee 5%, 22 BU’s

Black Lightning Black Ale ($4 drafts, $12 pitchers)
roasted malt flavor and the aroma, bitterness, and electrifying finish of American hops 6.4%, 65 BU’s

Bare Ass Blonde ($3.75 12 oz)
mild hop character and smooth drinkability 5%, 19 BU’s

Serum Double IPA ($3.75 12 oz)
hopped aggressively at several stages in the brewing process - well balanced with a malty sweetness 9%, 80 BU’s

Fruit flavors, produced by a special strain of Belgian yeast, combine with Belgian candied sugar, chamomile, grains of paradise, and cardamom  5%, 21 BU’s

60 Minute IPA  ($4draft, $12 pit)
60 hop additions over a 60 minute boil, powerful yet balanced East Coast IPA with citrusy hop character  60IBUs, 6.0%

90 Minute IPA ($4 -12oz, $6 –16oz, $16 pit)
Esquire said this beer is “perhaps the best IPA in America.” Imperial IPA with great malt backbone  90IBUs, 9.0%

Chicory Stout  ($4draft, $12 pit)
Made with roasted chicory, organic Mexican coffee, St. Johns wort and licorice root.  Their winter seasonal!

India Brown Ale ($3.75 12 oz)
A cross between a Scotch Ale and and IPA, well hopped and malty too! 7.2%

Raison D’Etre ($3.75 12 oz)
A deep mahogany Belgian style brown ale brewed with beet sugar and
Raisins -   8.0%

Burton Baton ($5.50 12 oz)
Barrel aged combination of an English-style old ale and an imperial IPA  10%

Midas Touch ($5.50 12 oz)
The first beer out of the ancient ales collection, this beer uses ingredients said to be found in 2700 year old drinking vessels in the tomb of King Midas.  Sweet, yet dry—a Chardonnay drinkers beer.  9.0%

Palo Santo Marron ($5.50 12 oz)
An unfiltered brown ale aged in handmade wooden vessels.  Lots of caramel and vanilla from the wood that comes from Paraguay.  A big beer  12%

On Draft
Amber ($4draft, $11 pit)
Munich style lager brewed with crystal malt and Perle hops. It has a smooth, malty, slightly caramel flavor and a rich amber color.  4.5%

Purple Haze ($4draft, $11 pit)
Brewed with fresh raspberries added after filtration. It is brewed with pilsner and wheat malts and Vanguard hops.  4.2%

Turbodog ($4draft, $11 pit)
Dark brown ale with a rich body and color and a sweet chocolate, toffee-like flavor  5.6%

Jockamo IPA  ($3.75 12 oz)
American IPA featuring Willamette and Columbus hops  6.5%

Restoration Pale Ale ($3.75 12 oz)
Golden ale with rich body, mild bitterness, and a snappy citrus hop flavor and aroma from Cascade hops  5.2%
